GULAB JAMUN WITH KHOYA

Gulab jamun is everyone's favourite, it is simple to make. I love those brown beauties..... Making this in home and having it is more healthy than store bought ones.

There are many different ways in making jamuns.  I will share afterwards.. this khoya jamun gives rich taste....

INGREDIENTS: 

  1. Khoya - 200 gms 
  2. Maida - 1/2 cup 
  3. Milk powder - 1 tbl spn 
  4. Cooking soda - small pinch 
  5. Milk - 2 tbl spn 
  6. Ghee - 1 tbl spn 
  7. Sugar- 1 + 1/2 cup 
  8. Water - 2 cups 
  9. Cardamom pods - 3
  10. Oil - for deep fry 

RECIPE  : 

Take all the ingredients 
Start by making sugar syrup 
Take sugar in a pan 
Add water 
Boil it 
Add crushed cardamom pods 
Boil for 10 - 15 mins 
It should come to sticky consistency 
Switch off the flame 
Keep aside
Take khoya in a bowl  
Crumble it 
Swift Maida over it 
Add Cooking soda and milk powder 
Mix it 
Add milk little by little to make dough 
Make a smooth dough 
Finally add ghee 
Knead again , keep aside for 10 mins 
Now take the dough and make small balls 
Heat oil in a kadai 
Don't over heat oil , it should be in medium heat 
Drop the balls in oil one by one 
Fry it in low flame 
See the colour changes 
Finally fry all the balls and keep aside 
for 5 mins 
Sugar syrup must be warm 
Immerse the balls in syrup 
Let it soak for 30 mins 
Serve it warm or chilled
