KARUPPATTI KUZHI PANIYARAM/ PALM JAGGERY PANIYARAM

Paniyaram is our traditional sweet recipe . There are many different ways to make .... Palm jaggery  gives nice aroma while making this paniyaram...

INGREDIENTS  : 

  1. Raw rice - 1 cup 
  2. Urad dal -1/4 cup 
  3. Idly rice - 2 tsp 
  4. Aval/ poha- 1 tbl spn 
  5. Fenugreek seeds - small pinch 
  6. Palm jaggery  / karuppati  - 1 cup (grated)
  7. Ghee and oil - For frying 
  8. Salt - small pinch 
  9. Cooking soda

RECIPE  : 

Take all the ingredients 
Wash and soak rice ,urad dal along with fenugreek 
Soak for minimum 3 hrs 
Take soaked rice in blender 
Grind it into smooth paste 
Add salt while grinding 
Ferment it for 6 to 7 hrs 
Grate Palm jaggery  
Add grated jaggery into batter 
Mix well 
Heat paniyaram pan 
Add little ghee and little oil  (if u prefer u can use ghee alone ) 
Pour the batter in pan
Do not fill the pan , pour it 3/4 th of pan 
Cook it , once cooked flip it 
Cook another side 
Yummy paniyaram ready 
Serve hot ....
