RAJMA CHAWAL / RAJMA MASALA

 Rajma dal is a healthy option. This rajma masala with some hot rice is a wholesome meal..try to add this rajma in ur diet , itwill keep your kidney health good.. This is quite simple but taste superb... perfect option for lunch box.

INGREDIENTS :

  1. Rajma ( red kidney beans) - 1/2 cup 
  2. Onion- 1 large
  3. Tomato - 2 medium
  4. Green chilli - 2 pcs (optional)
  5. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  7. Butter - 2tbl spn
  8. Oil- 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  11. Coriander powder - 1 spn
  12. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves - to garnish
  14. salt - to taste

RECIPE :

 Take all the ingredients 
Soak Rajma for 5 hrs or overnight
Pressure cook rajma for 7 - 8 whistles
Keep aside
Chop onions & tomato finely
Heat a pan add butter & oil
Add cumin seeds
After a min add onions
Saute well
Add ginger garlic paste
Saute untill raw smell of gg paste goes
Add tomatoes
Cook for 2 - 3 mins
Add salt & spice powders
Saute it
Add a cup of water, stir well
Cover it with lid & cook 
Now all the masalas & tomatoes blended together
Adjust the spice level
Now take cooked rajma
 
Addd the masala to rajma
 

Stir well
Again pressure cook this whole masala for 3 whistles
After 20 mins open it
Garnish with coriander leaves
Serve hot with rice
