PRAWN CURRY

 This delicious prawn curry goes well with rice and aapam..  prawn is a good source of protein.. good for hair , nails & etc... We love this curry more ...

 INGREDIENTS: 

  1. Prawns - 250 gm
  2. Onion- 1 large
  3. Tomato - 1 medium
  4. Curry leaves - 1 spring
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  6.  Curry powder - 2 table spoon
  7.  Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  8.  Saunf -  1 tsp
  9.  Gingelly oil - 3 tbl spn
  10.  Coconut milk - 1 cup
  11. Salt - as needed
  12. Coriander leaves - to garnish
  13. Curry leaves - 1 spring

TO GRIND :

  1. Onion - 1 small
  2. Pepper - 1 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1 spn
  4. Coriander seeds - 1 spn
  5. Garlic - 6 pcs
  6. Ginger - 1 inch
  7. Oil - 2 spn
  8. Dry red chilli - 6 small

 RECIPE : 

 Take all the ingredients given under to grind category
Heat oil in a pan
Saute all the ingredients well 
Let it cool for 10mins
Grind it as a smooth paste
Chop onion , tomatoes 
Now heat oil in a pan, Add saunf seeds (sombu) , curry leaves
Add chopped onions

Add turmeric powder , saute it
After 2 mins add curry powder & chilli powder
Saute until onion cooks well
Add chopped tomatoes & add salt
Cover & cook for 4 - 5 mins (till oil separates on top )
Add grounded masala and little water 
Boil for 2 mins &add prawns
Cover & cook for 5- 6 mins
Adjust the spice levels
Now add coconut milk, cover and cook for 3 mins
Add coriander leaves
Switch off the flame
Serve it with hot rice
