PAV BHAJI
PAV BHAJI is an excellent chat food , People in all age categories love chat items. In that list pav bhaji takes place.This is a famous street food of MUMBAI....... I love it more ..... I just want to try it in home with available ingredients in my kitchen. This turns out amazing , i didn't expect this really... Tastes so yummmyyyyy..... This is ultimate one...
INGREDIENTS :
For bhaji :
- Oil - 2-3 tbl spn
- cumin - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 1 big
- potato - 1 big
- Carrot - 1
- Beans - 10 pcs / 30 gm
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Green peas - 50 gm
- Capsicum - 1/4cup
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli - 1 or 2
- Butter - 2 tbl spn
- Pav bhaji masala powder - 2 tbl spn / garam masala - 1 + 1/2 tbl spn
- Coriander leaves - small amount
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
FOR PAV :
- Pav buns - 4 - 6
- Butter - 2 tbl spn
- Lemon - 1
Heat a pan add 3 tbl spns of oil
Add cumins , let it crackle
Now add onions saute for 2 mins
Add ginger garlic paste & chilli . saute for 3- 4 , until raw smell goes
Add chopped tomatoes
Saute well , add turmeric and little salt
Cook for 2 mins
Now add all the veggies
Stir well & saute it
Add mashed potato
Now add a cup of water & close the lid
Cook for 15 - 20 mins in medium flame , the vegetables must in mashy consistency

Finally add chopped coriander leaves & stir well
Take the pav buns , slit in centre
Heat a dosa tawa Put some butter
Slightly toast all the pav bun both sides
Now serve the pav bun with bhaji
Serve hot
