MASALA IDLY
It is a simple recipe with normal idly or leftover one.. It can be done in 15 mins...
But tastes good... Just give a try...
INGREDIENTS :
- Idli - 4 pcs
- Onion - 1 medium
- Tomato - 1
- Green chilly - 1 slitted
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tspn
- Red chilly powder - 1 tspn
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tspn
- Oil - 1 spoon
- Mustard seeds, urad dal- 1/2 spn
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tspn
- Channa dal - 1/2 spn
- Coriander leaves- to garnish
- Hing - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
RECIPE :
Steam the idlis or you can use the leftover too
Chop the onions& tomato finely
Take all the ingredients
Add cumin seeds& fennel seeds
Sprinkle some water and cook till mushy
Then add the idlies

Heat oil in a kadaai
Add mustard seeds let it splutter and add urad dalAdd cumin seeds& fennel seeds
Add curry leaves& channa dal, saute it
Add the chopped onions & green chilly, saute it till it turns to translucent
Add tomatoes, add salt
Add the spice powders, saute itSprinkle some water and cook till mushy
Adjust salt and spices in this stage
Meanwhile cut the idlies into small piecesThen add the idlies
Give a good stir, let it be for 2 mins
Finally add coriander leaves
