 This is a perfect recipe to do with leftover idli. I love this much. It tastes delicious.... Just give a try....

INGREDIENTS :

  1. Idli - 10 (left over/ new)
  2. Onion- 2 medium
  3. Tomato - 1 large (puree)
  4. Green chilli - 2
  5. Curry leaves - 1 spring
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  7. fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  9. Green peas - 1/2 cup (frozen / fresh)
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  11. Chillipowder - 2 tsp
  12. Coriander powder - 1 tbl spn
  13. Garam masalsa - 1/2 tsp
  14. Coriander leaves - small amount 
  15. Lemon- 1/2
  16. Oil- for deep fry + 1 tbl spn
  17. Salt - to taste

RECIPE :

Take all the ingredients
Use leftover idlies or steam new idli& refridgerate for 3 - 4 hrs
Cut the idli into small pieces
Chop onion , green chilli , Crush ginger garlic
Make tomato puree
Heat oil for deep fry
Deep fry all the idli pieces
Keep it aside
Heat a pan add oil
Add cumin seeds & fennel seeds
Now add ginger garlic paste ( i used crushed ginger garlic)
Saute for 2 mins
Add onion & green chillies
Saute it well
Add all the spice powders & salt
Saute it 
Add pureed tomato
Pour little water
Add green peas
Add a cup of water , cover it with lid & cook
Gravy gets thicken
Add coriander leaves ,stir well
Add fried idlis
Stir well
To acheive bright red color add kasmiri chilli powder
Garnish it with cashews & coriander leaves
Serve hot with raita or plain curd
