IDLY PODI

Idly podi comes handy when we don't have mood to cook anything for dinner or breakfast. It goes well with idly /dosa. It is very simple to do... There are many types in podi. I will post soon.

INGREDIENTS :

  1. Urad dal - 1/4 cup
  2. Channa dal - 1/4 cup
  3. Curry leaves - 6 springs
  4. Dry chilli - 10 - 12 /to taste
  5. Hing - 1/2 tsp
  6. Raw rice - 2 tsp
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil - few drops

RECIPE :

Take all the ingredients
Heat a pan add oil
Roast channa dal & urad dal
Do not over fry (burn), aroma comes when perfectly roasted
Dry roast all the ingredients one by one
Let it cool
Then grind all the ingredients together coarsely / finely (as per ur taste)
Keep it in air tight container
Serve with idly / dosa
